  • MARGOT, 30s, English or American; attractive, rich, confused
  • MAXINE, 30+, American, sexy novelist, Patricia Highsmith crossed with Audre Lorde
  • TONY, 30s, English, charismatic would-be wife killer
  • LESGATE, 30s, English, Cambridge grad turned crook/murderer
  • INSPECTOR HUBBARD, 40+, English, Police Detective
